Recovery of Ukraine's economy
From the very first days of the full-scale invasion, the KSE Institute team began work aimed at bringing Ukraine closer to victory, restoring its economy, and building a resilient and independent state.
The KSE Institute actively collaborates with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the Office of the President of Ukraine, and relevant ministries to develop and implement recovery projects and plans ranging from the local to the national level.
Background
KSE Institute experts took part in developing and preparing materials for the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC) in Lugano in 2022 (URC-2022) and in London in 2023 (URC-2023). In addition, KSE Institute experts are members of a group of leading international economists working on recommendations for Ukraine's post-war economic recovery.
In May 2023, KSE launched the KSE Economy Recovery Lab, an open platform for everyone who wants to contribute to Ukraine's recovery by developing their own ideas and supporting like-minded people.
Areas of activity
Following up on URC-2023 in London, the Government of Ukraine, led by the Ministry of Economy, has begun work on the Ukraine Facility—an EU economic support program for Ukraine spanning 2024–2027. The KSE Institute is providing analytical and organizational support for the development of the Ukraine Facility. At the initiative of the Ministry of Economy, the Institute’s team has conducted consultations with businesses, civil society organizations, and associations regarding priority economic development sectors and potential business investment projects; these consultations took place within the framework of the Ministry’s initiative, "The Start of a Continuous Dialogue Between the State and Business."
