The movie night program includes a DJ set, engineering demo zones, a food court, and an open-air screening of the documentary “Noga,” featuring Israeli musician Noga Erez and her life during the war. Admission is free with pre-registration.

On August 30, Kyiv School of Economics and the Odesa International Film Festival will host an open-air screening of the documentary “Noga” about Israeli musician Noga Erez on the Obolon Embankment. Part of the 17th OIFF program, the outdoor screening will be held at the future KSE University campus.

Throughout the evening, the venue will feature KSE and partner demo zones, a food court, and a DJ set. Guests can view projects from KSE University’s engineering programs, spend time on the embankment, and stay for the open-air screening in the evening.

The evening’s main feature is the documentary “Noga,” directed by Jono and Benji Bergmann, about Israeli musician Noga Erez. Over five years, the directors filmed her musical process, international tours, and collaboration with partner and producer Ori Rousso.

Following October 7, 2023, the war abruptly changed the artist’s life and the context of her work. The film explores how Noga seeks her own voice under the pressure of war, political polarization, and audience expectations. It prompts reflection on what society expects from an artist during wartime and the place for a personal voice when every word carries political weight.

In June 2026, “Noga” had its world premiere at the Tribeca Festival in New York. The film was subsequently included in festival programs in Munich, Jerusalem, and San Francisco. At the Odesa International Film Festival, the film will be presented in the non-competition program “Focus on Israel,” dedicated to contemporary Israeli cinema and stories of people living through war.

The open-air movie night will take place on August 30 at the future KSE University campus at KSE Campus Obolon. The event starts at 4:30 PM, with the screening beginning at 7:00 PM. Admission is free—simply fill out the short form at this link.

The screening is organized by the Odesa International Film Festival and Kyiv School of Economics. KSE became the educational partner of the 17th OIFF to use cinema as a medium for discussing memory, freedom, responsibility, technological change, and the experiences of societies living through war. The 17th Odesa International Film Festival will be held in Kyiv from August 27 to September 4.
