KSE and Scythia Accelerator joined forces to develop entrepreneurship in Ukraine

Kyiv School of Economics and Kyiv-based Scythia Accelerator agreed to join forces to develop entrepreneurship and startup culture in Ukraine. The new partnership will help aspiring local entrepreneurs to learn basics of startup development stages from an idea to a growing enterprise, gain access to various business mentors and obtain early stage funding to turn their dream into reality.

President of KSE, George Logush said: “Our business school has a long term goal to develop, strengthen and support entrepreneurship growth in Ukraine.  We have decided to join forces with Scythia Accelerator to accomplish the following tasks:

– Support of joint projects with the aim of startups development in Ukraine;

– Put all efforts in order to provide business and mentoring advice to startups.;

– Provide early stage financing for startups from raised grants and/or venture capital funds;

– Initiate and support establishment of favorable business environment and entrepreneurial culture in Ukraine.

Managing director of Scythia Accelerator, Alex Nikolaenko said: “For obvious reasons in the past 23 years Ukraine has neglected proper support and development of entrepreneurship. Now the country has to do a lot to catch up with the Western world where entrepreneurs and SME business owners are key engines of the economy growth. We are excited about the new partnership with KSE and believe our cooperation will significantly add to supply of knowledge, expertise and funding for growing Ukrainian entrepreneurial spirit.
