On September 1, 2022, 4 million Ukrainian school children went back to school. The aggressor claims that he aims only military targets. In fact, as a result of the bombing and shelling, 2461 Ukrainian educational institutions were damaged, 284 of them were completely destroyed. In order to protect children from shelling, the Government has adopted a law: the educational process cannot be started without a bomb shelter in every school.

Having shelter is not enough. It needs to be of high quality. There should be conditions for children and lessons. Now we know what needs to be improved in storage, but not all local authorities have sufficient funds to do so. In many cases, we rely on the support of our friends and partners abroad.

Despite all the horrors of the war, children must learn. Education is an investment in our future and we must give this future to the next generations.

Our goal is to provide 100 Ukrainian schools with safe and high-quality shelter.

$10 000 is needed to set up a shelter in one school. In total, we need to raise $1 million.

With the assistance and support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, we are announcing a fundraiser to equip modern and safe shelters for Ukrainian schools. The goal of our joint campaign is to provide 100 Ukrainian schools with safe and high quality bomb shelters.

We strive to attract a significant part of this amount during the charity evening. And we believe in the support of our friends and philanthropists.

Among the applicants, we will select 100 schools who most urgently need the help of philanthropists. Transparency and accountability are the key principles of our work in the implementation of this project.

We plan to provide assistance in two main ways. The first is to completely close the needs of the school and build a new shelter from scratch. The second way is financial assistance depending on the evaluation submitted.

KSE Charitable Foundation was established in 2007 as a subsidiary of its non-profit corporation in the United States, which has more than 20 years of experience. It is focused on the medical and humanitarian directions. It is a vehicle for obtaining substantial grants from international companies and foundations.

We believe that transparency, solid governance, and regular audit are fundamental for successful and sustainable programming. They also create trust between the donors and the Foundation. For these reasons, all standards of audit will be applied to the current project.

Operational and financial losses of the Foundation do not exceed 1-5%. Moreover, all operational and administrative expenses (exchange rate difference, salaries, etc.) do not exceed 2% of all collected funds, which is less than the international standard rate (5%).
