Anna Harus

Biography

Anna Harus is a Non-Resident Media Researcher at the Center for Journalism at Kyiv School of Economics and a consultant for a World Bank project at KSE. She has obtained a Master’s Degree in Economic Analysis at Kyiv School of Economics and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Economic Relations at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. Anna conducted extensive research on business models of Ukrainian and world media for KSE CEEJ, and designed, and published an analytical report on Ukrainian media business models. She developed own methodology for Ukrainian media business analysis, conducted 20+ in-depth interviews with Chief Editors and CEOs of Ukrainian media companies, and compared financial models of Ukrainian media with those in the EU and the USA. Another area of Anna’s research expertise is economic effects of decentralization reform in Ukraine. Apart from that, Anna has studied for one academic semester at Xavier University of Louisiana (USA) and has been the Head of Kharkiv Regional Youth Non-Governmental Organization “Enlightening Initiative”.
