The Kyiv School of Economics continues to implement a large-scale project supported by UNICEF in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine and under the coordination of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. The project aims to improve the efficiency of social expenditure management at the local level. One of the key components of this project is the educational component, a series of training sessions for hromadas representatives from different regions of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Recently, trainings were held in Truskavets for hromadas representatives from the Kharkiv region and the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration (RMA), and in Ivano-Frankivsk for specialists from the Kyiv, Bucha, Irpin, Poltava, and Kryvyi Rih hromadas, as well as from the Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Poltava RMAs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The training participants analyzed modern tools for financing social programs, studied gender-oriented and child-centered budgeting, and learned about the best international practices in the field of child social protection. Practical classes and theoretical modules helped them deepen their knowledge and improve their skills in public finance management.<\/p>\n

“Over three intensive days in both Truskavets and Ivano-Frankivsk, we worked together on shaping a vision for public finance management in the interests of children, discussing the strategic alignment of hromada development goals with their financial potential. I am confident that every hromada has valuable experiences to share, which can help secure a better future for our children and strengthen financial resilience,” shared Yuliya Markuts, Head of the Center of Public Finance and Governance at KSE.<\/p>\n

KSE and UNICEF experts have already conducted five three-day trainings in different regions of Ukraine, and the project will cover 47 hromadas.<\/p>\n

These trainings are intended to become a key platform for exchanging experience and knowledge between specialists, which will help attract financial resources to support social programs in communities more effectively.<\/p>\n

The trainings are part of the project \u201cIntegrated Social Services for Conflict-Affected Children and Their Families in Western and Central Ukraine,\u201d funded by KfW and UNICEF and \u201cShock-Responsive Social Protection analytical study of national budget programmes including vulnerable categories affected by the war, families with children, and beneficiary perceptions of social support response in an emergency context.\u201d Implemented by the Kyiv School of Economics under UNICEF funding.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
