This update includes seven additional global firms that ceased operations in November and for one company the status &#8220;stay&#8221; was returned.<\/p>\n<p>These findings are part of the KSE Institute&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/kse.ua\/en\/news\/58th-issue-of-the-regular-digest-on-impact-of-foreign-companies-exit-on-rf-economy\/\">regular digest<\/a> under the <a href=\"https:\/\/kse.ua\/en\/kse-institute\/self-sanctions-leaverussia\/\">Self-Sanctions\/LeaveRussia<\/a> project, examining the repercussions of foreign business withdrawals on the Russian economy.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, the KSE research team managed to identify a number of international companies that have fully completed their withdrawal from Russia: <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/amedia\">Amedia<\/a> (another example of business confiscation), <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/bonava\">Bonava<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/clancy-engineering\">Clancy Engineering<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/eastnine\">Eastnine AB<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/flugger\">Flugger<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/laude-smart-intermodal\">Laude Smart Intermodal S.A.<\/a> (likely an internal transfer, as the new owner is ASIA INTERMODAL LLC from Kazakhstan). Furthermore, <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/sandvik\">Sandvik<\/a> ceased its Russian operations in addition to liquidation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/sandvik-coromant\">Sandvik Coromant<\/a> Group\u2019s legal entity, in May 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, an update on <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/tp-link\">TP-Link&#8217;s<\/a> status (from &#8220;exited&#8221; to &#8220;stay&#8221;) has been provided, following the revelation that its prior sale was an intra-group transaction, and the company is actively continuing its business dealings with Russia.<\/p>\n<p>As of December 3, 2023, the total count of international companies that have completely halted their operations in Russia stands at 302. This represents 8.3% of the total entries in the KSE database and 23.6% of firms that generated revenue in Russia in 2022. Additionally, 1227 companies (33.7% of the total) have scaled back operations and announced plans to exit the Russian market.<\/p>\n<p>Conversely, 1,563 companies (43% of those monitored by the KSE Institute) have not yet decided to leave the Russian market, continuing their operations as usual.
