This brings the total number of international firms and corporations that have completely withdrawn from Russia to 296.<\/p>\n<p>These updates are part of the KSE Institute&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/kse.ua\/en\/kse-institute\/self-sanctions-leaverussia\/\">SelfSanctions\/LeaveRussia<\/a> project, which assesses the ongoing economic impact of international business withdrawal from Russia.<\/p>\n<p>Notable exits last month encompassed a diverse range of industries, from <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/google\">Google&#8217;s<\/a> officially bankrupt Russian subsidiary to <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/carlsberg\">Carlsberg<\/a> grappling with brand rights issues following the Russian seizure of shares. Other departures included <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/asbis\">ASBIS<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/decathlon\">Decathlon<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/ensto\">Ensto<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/viterra\">Viterra<\/a> (part of <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/glencore\">Glencore<\/a>), <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/ingka\">Ingka<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/legrand\">Legrand<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/sulzer\">Sulzer<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/veon\">VEON<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/xerox\">Xerox<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/kone\">KONE&#8217;s<\/a> previously reported exit has now been finalized.<\/p>\n<p>The KSE Institute has also revised <a href=\"https:\/\/leave-russia.org\/thyssenkrupp\">ThyssenKrupp\u2019s<\/a> status from &#8220;exit&#8221; to &#8220;wait,&#8221; indicating that the company&#8217;s local entities have not changed ownership and have been rebranded, potentially to conceal connections to the parent company.<\/p>\n<p>As of November 1, 2023, our data shows that 296 international companies (8.3% of the total entries or 23.3% of companies with the revenue identified) have completely ceased operations in Russia.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, 1,215 companies have reduced their activities and are planning to leave, while 1,503 firms (34.1% of the total number of entries) show no indication of exiting the Russian market.
