Prof. Balcerowicz spoke on the recipes to kick-start economy in times of transition and led discussion with representatives of Ukraine\u2019s business community and academics.\u00a0<b>Anna Derevyanko<\/b>, Executive Director of European Business Association,\u00a0<b>Morgan Williams<\/b>, President of U.S.-Ukraine Business Council,\u00a0<b>Irina Paliashvili<\/b>, President of RULG-Ukrainian Legal Group,\u00a0<b>Dr. Anders Aslund<\/b>, Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council and Chairman of the International Advisory Council at the Center for Social and Economic Research (CASE) and\u00a0<b>George Logush<\/b>, President of Kyiv School of Economics took part in the discussion.<\/p>\n<p>In times of transition it\u2019s important first to pinpoint the most serious problems the country is facing and determine the country\u2019s destination, according to Prof. Balcerowicz. \u201cDo not be discouraged that you have many problems. If you have many problems, you have many possibilities for improvement, with proper policies of course\u201d, &#8211; Prof. Balcerowicz noted.\u00a0 \u201cYou have to know where are you heading.
